DANN HUFF

A talented guitarist, Dann Huff is known for his work in both Christian and secular music. He has lent his talents as a producer and studio musician to projects with such diverse artists as, among others, Bob Seger, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Jewel, Faith Hill, Whitesnake, Neil Diamond, Kenny Loggins, Amy Grant, Hank Williams Jr., Reba McEntire, SheDaisey, Megadeath, Whitney Houston, Rod Stewart, Chaka Khan, and Wynonna Judd.

Dann calls Nashville home, and it was there that he first started playing demos at the age of fifteen or sixteen—and as he describes it, he was hooked. The year after he graduated from high school, he traveled with The Gaither Trio. On that tour he got together with a group of musicians and eventually formed a new band back in Nashville. The musicians were David Huff, Billy Smiley, Mark Gersmehl, and Steve Green; and the band was White Heart.

Later Dann moved west to California, where he did studio work with a variety of popular contemporary artists and sang lead in his band, Giant. For the past ten years, though, Dann has been back in Nashville, devoting much of his time and talent to his role as music producer.

When asked what he likes to do in his free time, Dann is quick to respond, “Free time is for family—for my wonderful children, Ashlyne, Madelyne, and Elliott, and my wife, Sherri.” This love for family is deeply rooted. Dann was blessed with, in his words, “incredible parents” and a childhood rich in love and important lessons for life.
